The Hermes Story

In 1906 when Peter Hermes converted his vegetable farm into year round flower production, he had no idea that the company he started would be going strong into the next millennium. During the past nine decades, Hermes Floral has evolved into a major Midwest supplier of floral products. Today, the third generation company has facilities in St. Paul, MN, Hudson, WI and Grand Forks, ND and comprises full-service floral wholesale operations, growing ranges, a retail store and garden centers.

The company has seen a lot of change, the majority coming in the past 20 years. In 1988, Hermes Floral expanded the wholesale distribution center by adding a 13,000 square foot showroom. The current facility occupies two buildings in St. Paul and offers a wide selection of fresh cut flowers, green and blooming plants, bouquets and floral supplies. The year 1989 brought further growth, as greenhouse production facilities were developed in Hudson, WI and produces some of the finest blooming plants and specialty cuts in the region. A wholesale floral facility in Grand Forks, ND was added in 2005 to service customers in Northern Minnesota & North Dakota. We continue to grow and evolve in order to provide our customers with the finest range of floral products and service.
